About Mae

Mae Tune has lived in down town Albany for over 30 years and has spent half of the latter with her husband Timothy Tune. She is a strong believer in Education. After obtaining her High School Equivalency she decided to go further. She enrolled at Hudson valley Community College, where she received an Associates degree in Liberal Arts.

Inspired by her accomplishments, Mae chose to enroll at the University of Albany to further her education. It was there that she received her Bachelor’s in Communications. Having found a new passion in public speaking and politics, Mae did not stop there. She went on to receive her Masters in African studies.

Inspired with new information about black history and the importance of politics, Mae made sure her eldest daughter graduated from Albany High School. In addition, she is currently active in the education of her two younger children, who attend Giffen Elementary School.

Mae currently works at Albany High School as a Teaching Assistant for the Special Education Department. She has volunteered on numerous campaigns across the Capital District, and has been active in several community groups and other organizations.
